Duo Teres (Lucia Fulka Kopsová – violin and Tomáš Honěk – guitar) is a chamber group with extraordinary instrumental composition that, from its very beginning, primarily focused on music originally written for the violin and guitar. Over time, the focus of the duo switched to the music of 20th and 21st century and, at the end of 2010, their first album came out that brought positive acclaim from the music critics. It contained compositions by Jan Novák, Antonín Tučapský, Jan Truhlář and Niccolo Paganini. Since 2011, the “Prague Kaleidoscope” project has been touring, combining the music of both classical and jazz composers. Renowned composers wrote pieces directly for Duo Teres, who subsequently perform them during their concerts. The compositions originate from such artists as Jan Freidlin, Lukáš Hurník, Ondřej Kukal, Martin Brunner, Karel Růžička and Matej Benko. In connection with this project, the Duo also cooperates with Czech Radio, professional magazines and other media and thus helps to publicize the outstanding quality of Czech music. The piece by Jan Friedlin was also performed by the Duo in a concert version with a chamber orchestra at Polish Radom in 2014. Since 2015, the Duo is a member of the Czech Association of Chamber Guitar. Since its founding in 2007, Duo Teres confirmed its performance quality through many awards won at international chamber music competitions; First prize Gorizia, First prize Vidnava, Third prize Aschaffenburg. Duo members studied under many famous musicians, including Marco Socías, Paolo Pegoraro and Pavel Šporcl.
